  •  The London Colney Local History Society is now in its tenth year.  We have approximately one hundred members.Having out grown our present archive office we have just been offered another additional room to enable us to continue with our expansion plans.  Our ultimate aim is to open a village museum. We shall be seeking funding to achieve our goal and are at present investigating means and ways of achieving such.Our Archives hold a great deal of information about the village, but we still need to acquire  more on most subjects to increase our data base, so anything at all London Colney oriented, like photographs or memorabilia, would be welcomed with open arms.We hold a two day public exhibition every September in the Village Community Centre, support the Village Fete, offer slide shows and talks, intend to have more guest speakers, also visits to places of interest and put on an  annual social buffet dance late October / November.  The committee meet approximately six times a year.If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.  We do intend to update this with some pictures at a later date but as I am shortly moving house, time is scarce at present!!Be patient, keep watching!Wally Vernon  Chairman
