  • The trust is undertaking a feasibility study for a community centre in Cuxton. We have a consulted with villagers and various agencies and are at present finalising plans for submission for planning permission, subject to further village consultation. The trust operates a Ukonline centre to help people use computers, send email and use the internet. The trust provides two youth workers running the village youth club in the pavilion every Friday night. The youth club attracts 60-80 young people each week. The young people can earn points by doing community work, for example, put tree guards on saplings, packed relief packages for shipment victims of the tsunami disaster, helped build the village bonfire, and collected up leaves for a local school. With the points earned the young people can go on organised trips such as, paintballing, go-karting, skating. The trust oversees a counselling service for the village. The trust is a registered charity.
