  • The Hastings Initiative provides youth clubs, swimming,drama workshops, dance studios, discos outings, weekend camps and day clubs during school holdiays to all 6 to 13 year olds, resident or at school in any part of Seaton Valley.Youth clubs meet on Thursday in Seaton Sluice Scouts Hall from 5 to 7pm for Nippers (6-8s) and 7 to 9pm for kids (9 to 13s) and on Fridays at Astley School youth block, Seaton Delaval (same times) Cost is 80p per session.  Activities include sport, indoor & outdoor games, cookery, arts, & crafts, buddying, mentoring, quiet area, computer use (ie homework help)Drama workshops meet in Astley School on Mondays from 6 to 7.30pm.  Cost is 70p.  Although it is led by a qualified drama teacher, the main aim of the sessions is to increase confidence, challenge issues (ie bullying) and to have fun.Dance studios meet in Astley School on Wednesdays from 6 to 7.30pm.  Cost is 70p.  Led by a qualified dance teacher, the session include all forms of dance except Ballet.  The sessions are popular and have proven value in improving self image, poise and mobility
