  • Shinfield Association is a registered charity which provides recreation facilities for the people of Shinfield at the Recreation Ground in Millworth Lane Shinfield. The ground hosts football for local sides at junior and senior level, has cricket facilities for juniors and seniors and tennis for all age groups. There is also a children's play area and the recreation ground can be used by everyone in the local area. We host a 10K run and a 3K junior run on May Day Bank Holiday each year and there are also stalls, a fun fair, car boot sale and refreshments on the ground during May Day. In 2006 there will be a live band playing as well. The Association meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at the pavilion on the Recreation Ground where members from the various clubs that use the ground meet to discuss ongoing use of the ground.
