  • Findern Parish Rooms was formerly 2 old cottages. In 1896, the villagers raised �165 between them to buy the cottages, and they were turned into community use. For years they were used for card games, village sing songs, parish council meetings and for a short time, the village school.They were in a poor state of repair, and were without water or sewage connection.The group have raised enough money for building work to restore them. They will now be used for activities such as adult education classes, youth activities and advice surgeries. Findern has not had any of these activities before as there was nowhere to hold them on a regular basis.
