Further Description
  • Who we are... The Banknock Youth Initiative is a group of people from the local area who meet once a month. The chair is our local councillor and we are supported by the local primary school, Bankier. We have worked with lots of different agencies and groups in the past, from Falkirk Council to Central Scotland Police. What we do...The Banknock Youth Initiative was set up to improve the lives of children and young people in the area of Banknock, Haggs and Longcroft. One of the Initiative's main aims has been to improve the play park facilities in the local area. We have been working alongside Falkirk Council to change the Ash Park football pitch into a safe and fun play area for children. So far this includes a multi-court facility, playpark for senior primary school pupils and a toddlers' world. In the future the surrounding area will be landscaped to improve the environment around the park. We welcome all new members and are always looking for more people with fresh ideas! We meet once a month, on a Monday night at 7pm in Bankier Primary School Library. If you would like to find out when our next meeting is, contact the school or the secretary.
