  • Like Rotary clubs all over the country we meet weekly on Monday evenings with dinner and amongst other things discuss ways to raise money for deserving causes, some local and some further afield. We are open for membership to any like minded person (man or woman) who feels they would like to put a bit back into the community. Some of the things we have done recently : organised a day out for some of the older members of our society, raised thousands for local charities including Air Ambulance, Bury Hospice, sponsored scores of competitions in out local schools in the interests of furthering their education as well as contribute to the worldwide Rotary aim to wipe out polio once and for all. We also sponsor the education of a couple of third world kids abroad. At the same time we have a bit of fun.
