Further Description
  • Meetings of the association are held on the last Tuesday of every month at Hollins Social Club Social which can be found behind the car park of Hollins Bush Pub on Hollins Lane. There is no membership fee, meetings are informal, friendly and provide an ideal opportunity to meet fellow villagers. The meetings are usually attended by local councillors who endeavour to respond to issues raised. The association has influenced a number of issues relating to traffic problems, planning matters. A ball zone for the benefit of younger members of the community was opened during 2005, and our next major project is the redevelopment of the village bowling green. Each year The Hollins in Bloom competition is held for gardeners of all capabilities. 2004 HVCA were awarded The Bury Times Trophy for its works in the community in improving and brightening up the area for local people
