  • Tamworth Civic Society was formed in 1973 with the intention of upholding and protecting the built and historic environment of Tamworth and its surrounding districts.the society meet bi-monthly at The Carnegie Centre Corporation Street Tamworth. Members are welcome to bring their guest to enjoy the talks and discussions which take place. Outings for members and guests are arranged regularly to places of mutual interest.The society has in the past been instrumental in preserving many buildings of historic and architectural valuerecently their input was of value in rescuing Wilnecote Parish Hall from closure.If you are concerned on any subject relating to our cause then please let us know, we are here to campaign on your behalf.Any one is welcome to join. for information please contact President Joyce Smith on 01827 54326. or email Phyllis.higginson@talktalk.net.
