  • Sheffield & Distrist Society of Model & Experimental Engineers Ltd is a thriving, long established society, dedicated to promoting our hobby by building and operating steam powered models; by engineering experimentation; by encouraging young model engineers; by maintaining links with other model engineers in the UK and abroad; and by furthering wider interest through our contact with the local community who visit our miniature railway on Abbeydale Road South. Model engineers and interested guests are always made welcome. When the railway is open (summer Sunday afternoons and Bank Holiday Mondays) we serve refreshments, ice cream and children's souvenirs, and our premises are wheelchair accessible.
