Further Description
  • The Friends of St Peter's Church was set up in 2000 in order to raise funds to help in maintaining the fabric of the Church. The first project was to replace the Hugh Russell organ in its original position and to have it restored. Built in 1801, the organ first appeared in Boxford, then was moved firstly to Kersey and then to Lindsey. Subsequently we have paid for a new oak fence and for the stone repairs to the south chancel window mullion and the north nave arch.

Membership costs £10 per year per family and is payable on 1st January.

At a recent committee meeting of the Friends of Lindsey Church, Ian Mac Gregor and Adrian Moore both declared they would not stand for re-election. They were thanked for their hard work and contribution. The Friends are delighted to announce that Rhett Corcoran will join the committee. If you are interested in becoming a Friend or would like to join the committee please contact Ann Moore, Chairman [01787 210003] or Lucinda Salway, Secretary [01449 740723]
