Further Description
  • The Carnkie Players have been putting on pantomimes and the occasional summer show for the last 18 years, and there are still some of the original members taking part. We are always looking for new members to join us, not only to 'act' (in the loosest of tems!) but to help backstage with music, props and costumes etc. We entertain Carnkie and the surrounding area and have a loyal following; playing to full houses for the three weekends we perform. The performances are always on the last weekend in January and the first two weeks in February. Rehearsals are on Friday evening from 7.30pm for a couple of hours and we would be delighted to see some new faces as we are getting fed up with ours! Don't be afraid! We don't bite and we do endeavour to have a lot of fun and we welcome all ages and abilities. We meet in the Village Hall next to the church. Come and join us - it's a cracking way to spend the dreary winter evenings!! At the least, come and enjoy this years pantomime - Robinson Crusoe (with abject apologies to Daniel Defoe) details will apear in the local press and on the village noticeboard.
