  • What are we?A youth brass band with 3 sections, beginners, intermediate & senior.The Trowbridge & District Youth Band exists to :Help young people to enjoy music and develop their musical skills. Give musical performances to the people of Trowbridge and district.Provide a focus for families to enjoy music and each other?s company.The Band is an independent charity and whilst receiving some grants, raises the funds for instruments, music and use of buildings through the efforts of its own volunteers. The Band was formed in 1983 and is now in its 21st year.Who can join ?Any child aged over 8 who is interested in learning to play, or already plays a brass instrument. Parents can also join and learn with their children. We also have an ?adults? band for ex-youth band members and any experienced players. If you can play and are looking for a band, please come and join us.Do I need to have a brass instrument ?No, we will provide an instrument which suits you, together with sheet music.What if I know nothing about music ?You can join with no knowledge of music whatsoever. We will teach you to read music and to play an instrument.Where do we meet ?Court Mills, Polebarn Road, Trowbridge.When do we meet?Saturday morning ? Beginners 9 - 10am? Seniors 10.15 - 12.30pm? Intermediate 10.30 - 12.30pmTuesday evening? Seniors 6.30 - 8.00pm? Intermediate 6.30 - 7.30pm ?
