  • Abington History GroupThe Abington History Group is a small study group involved in research into all historical aspects of Great and Little Abington; it was formed in 2000.The group has a growing database of digitised images of the Abingtons (currently about 1300).The database of parish records from registers, census records and other available sources is now almost complete for: Little Abington 1699-1901 and Great Abington 1599-1900.These records and images will be available for people to refer to later in 2003 in a printed format thanks to a grant of over �1000 from the Community Champions FundThe group has published a Little Abington Village History Trail; Great Abington Village History Trail will be available from Easter 2003.The group produces an annual calendar using images from its collection.The group is interested in adding to its collections and would like to hear from anyone who has photographs or information that might be of interest.Little Abington Village History TrailAvailable from Jennifer Hirsh (01223 893352) or Abington Pottery, price �2.50 or �3 incl.
