  • The Women's Section of the Clayton and Keymer Branch of the Royal British Legion, meets once a month on the second Thursday of each month, at the Branch Headquarters in Woodsland Road, Hassocks, at 3 pm. There is a very varied programme of guest speakers and demonstrations, plus a monthly competition and a raffle. The coffee mornings at the United Reformed Church Hall, held periodically throughout the year, are very popular, with a great many things to buy. Entrance includes refreshments. This year's outings have included a shopping trip to Southampton, a half-day excursion to Chichester and a day visiting Guildford, which included a cream tea served aboard a Longboat sailing up the river.
