  • The group has around 200 members and is the largest society in the village. We meet once a month for a talk, visit or social function, such as our annual barbecue or the Christmas party which follows the A.G.M. There is a mini show in June but our main event is the Annual Flower Show held in the grounds of the Haycock Hotel on the Saturday preceding August Bank Holiday Monday.New members are always welcome and do not have to be gardening experts or have large, immaculate gardens! Talks cover a wide range of interests and in the last two years we have learned about historic gardens of the National Trust, the work of a Head Gardener at Stately Homes such as Burghley House or Elton Hall, willow weaving and wine production with wine tasting.
