  • The Wennington Village Association was formed approx. 3 years ago for the benefit of the local residents. The Associations aim is to improve the environment whilst keeping its rural character. Cleanaway Havering Riverside Trust have been generous in giving a grant for name plaques, plinth to go under the village sign, hanging baskets and window boxes and enhancement of The Green. 2 noticeboards were placed in the village to advertise local events and community news.Hornchurch Country Park staff have supported the WVA in planting young trees and hedgerow this year. The traffic sub-committee have campaigned to reduce the speed of the vehicles through the village resulting in speed cushions being placed at strategic intervals. Two Parish maps of Wennington Village have been produced, one by The South Hornchurch Arts Society and one by local resident, Jule Dixon. A monthly newsletter is produced by the association and will be published on our own web site later in the year.
