  • The Griston Community Centre project exists to raise funding, mainly through grants, to acquire the freehold and thereafter upgrade the former Wayland Prison Officers Social Club (WPOSC). This acquisition will provide the community of Griston, an area of social and economic disadvantage, with a Community Centre thereby improving the local amenities and quality of life for residents.The primary objective of TGCCC is to provide a Community Centre for the use of the inhabitants of Griston and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex, or, political, religious or other opinions. In particular for use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
