  • The new civil parish of Gorsley & Kilcot was formed on 1April 2000.� It consists of the Gloucestershire part ofGorsley and Kilcot which comes under the Forest of Dean District Council. It wasoriginally part of the SW Ward of Newent.There are 133 households with an electorate of 213 (numbers to be confirmed when new roll is published).There are 7 parish councillors who were elected on 31 March 2000 out of the 12 nominated. Christ Church,Gorsley was the polling station for this election, and for the more recentCounty Council and General election on 6 June 2001.� Christ Church is theonly public building in the parish and is where the council holds its meetings,in the Upper Room.
