  • The Hospice has been in existence since 1980 and the catchment area are the district around Tring, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, The Langleys, The Chalfonts, Amersham and Chesham.It offers home care by five highly qualified nurses and a Day Hospice on two days per week. The in-patient unit has 8 beds and offers respite care, symptom control and terminal care. In addition there is a bereavement support programmes for those who wish to take part. Children are included in this programme.Annual costs in 2002 amount to �1.2m and the Hospice relies heavily on volunteers for fund-raising and roles within the Hospice.
