  • Does this society still exist? The windmill and memories of it formed an important part of my childhood. I remember John Noakes from Blue Peter filming the replacement of one of the sails in the 1970s for instance.The windmill, the grain store and the surrounding buildings were great fun to explore and I've been interested in windmill engineering and architecture ever since.
