  • Communities In Action is a relatively young organisation which was formed by interested, voluntary, community based organisations within the old Stanley Urban District Area (Wrenthorpe, Outwood, Stanley and Kikhamgate)with the aim of promoting the old Community Safety Strategy. Our initial activities have been primarily concerned with perceived youth crime and disorder, and with the possible provision of youth facilities. These facilities would be based on youth shelters located across the area.
