  • Bamford Old Folks Fund was started on the 28th December 1945 by a small group of people who thought that it was about time something was done for the older folk in the village.The fund is still active today. Each year we organise an annual outing, afternoon tea and a Christmas Diner. We also send flowers to people ill at home or in hospital and a small gift to celebrate 90th Birthdays and Golden Wedding Anniversaries. All this is paid for and events are arranged during the year to raise the necessary funds.The only ?condition? to join us is that Ladies have to be 60 and Gentlemen 65. So if you are new to the village or have decided that you want to be informed of future events, please contact any committee member. New members are always welcome, as are ideas for fund raising and future outings or events.
