Further Description
  • The Wayland Partnership is a community regeneration partnership between the market town of Watton and the parishes of Ashill, Carbrooke, Caston, Great Hockham, Griston, Lt. Cressingham, Merton, Ovington, Saham Toney, Stow Bedon and Thompson - in Breckland district in the heart of Norfolk. We are concerned for the Economic, Social and Environmental well-being of the Wayland Community. We promote local businesses (the Chamber of Trade and the Tourism Association are members), we promote local food for local people and have established a Farmers Market, and we have set up a Lifelong Learning Community and a Healthy Wayland initiative. After two years of hard work we have won funding for a project officer and for the Government's Market Towns Initiative. The Partnership is however, very much a community and volunteer led initiative.
