It became independent and registered as a charity in April 1999. TCT works in partnership with Essex County Council, the District council and Tendring Primary Care Trust, as well as other transport providers within and outside the district. Essex County Council contributes significant revenue funding for TCT's human resources.Our Services1. Dial-A -Ride: (To book ring 01255 436962)� Is a wheelchair accessible door-to-door service for disabled individuals who reside in Tendring district?� Operates three buses� Does not operate weekends and bank holidays� Is membership based - annual membership renewal letters are computer generated, Bookings are also computer generated� Operates Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.� Three paid drivers and five relief drivers, who cover sickness and annual leave.� Have 550 individual members? book seats in advance by telephone. Calling at the office or, via drivers� Members pay fares according to distance travelled. (details on request)� During evenings and weekends, Dial-a-Ride Buses transfer to a vehicle pool for use in Community Transport Brokerage.� Delivered 18,038.00 passenger journeys for the period 1st April 2003 - 31st March 2004� Logged 43,403 actual miles and. 17,737 deal/light milesTendring Cummunity Transport Brokerage Scheme (tel 01255 436962)2. Community Transport Brokerage is:A wheelchair accessible, door-to-door transport service for groups of people.A group representative registers with TCT for the group; books transport; receives and pays invoices sent to the group by TCTThis service operates 365 days per annum - including Christmas Day.Charges based on number of miles travelled, dead miles and a standing charge if the bus is used for the whole day. Cancellation fee might be levied for late cancellationsThis service is open to people of all ages and abilities who find it difficult or impossible to access conventional public transport at a time and price that suits their needs.Drivers used are unpaid volunteer drivers.Serves 454 independent clubs and groups.Delivered 49,285,00 passenger journeys for the period 1srt April 2003 - 31st March 2004Logged 700,760.00 actual miles and 6015 dead/light milesSuccess dependent upon TCT?s ability to recruit, train and retain volunteer drivers. Success is also a result of the good will and hard work of volunteer drivers.3.Hospital Hopper (to book ring 01255 436962)The Hospital Hopper is a new service introduced in July 2004. It provides a direct link from Station Road Clacton on Sea, Essex, to Colchester General Hospital, Essex County Hospital, Colchester Hospice and The Oaks Hospital. Leaflet and time table on request.4. St. Osyth Beach Link (To book ring 01255 436962)The St. Osyth Beach Link is a new service launched in July 2004. It operates between Clacton-on-Sea and St. Oysth Beach, stopping at St. Osyth Village GP surgery, Clacton Hospital, Clacton Hospice, Jackson Road
