  • Blackburn Music Society has been established over 60 years and sings in the great Northern choral tradition, performing large-scale choral works and oratorios at least 3 times per year. Handel's Messiah is alsways performed in Blackburn Cathedral on the second Saturday in December. The concerts are mostly accompanied by professional orchestras in major concert venues under the highly respected and experienced baton of Dr James Eastham. The Society rehearses between 19.30 and 21.15 hrs on Mondays at Leamington Rd Baptist Church, Granville Rd, Blackburn. membership is �50.00 per season, �40.00 concessions and free for full time students of any age.Contact: Brian Healey (Chairman) on 01254 51174 or e-mail at brianhealey@btopenworld.com
