  • Chesterfield Film Makers meet every Tuesday evening during mid September to end April at Walton Village Centre at 7.45pm. Anyone interested in making or watching amateur films or learning how to use a camcorder will be welcomed. Annual subscription is £12 plus £1 per meeting attended. Why not come along to try us out. WINNERS Having been successful, at the first attempt, in winning the Midland Movie Makers competition by finishing top of the 2003/4 league with 20 points, we retained the trophy in the 2004/5 season, sharing it with Nuneaton, and then again in 2005/6  finishing at the top of the league with Derby on the same number of points. At our Annual General Meeting on 28th April 2009, Malcolm Calow was elected as our new Chairman. The 2009/10 season's programme is as follows:- 2009Sept.   8th     Welcome back with members' summer filmsSept.  15th     John J Steemson visits us with films he has madeSept.  22nd    Members Doreen, Bob and Keith present films made after touring New ZealandSept.  24th     We present 'Future trends in movie making' to members of Dronfield Camera Club (away)Sept.  29th     A first showing of Club films made during the summerOct.     6th     A talk by Paul Burdett of the Compress Media GroupOct.    13th    Films from the Haywards Heath ClubOct.   20th     Bolsover Camera Club come to entertain usOct.   27th     Our main competition for the BC Trophy (any film of under 15 minutes)Nov.    3rd     Natural history film maker, John Keeling, visits usNov.   10th    Andrew Firth presents a slide show  'Sign of the Times'Nov    17th    We host and judge a round in the Midland Movie Makers Inter Club competitionNov.   24th    Our Natural History Film competition (films of up to 10 minutes)Dec.     1st    Members bring along NEW films not previously shownDec.     8th    We present a show reel of amateur films put together by the IACDec.    15th   Mince Pie Evening with a filmJanuary to April programme will follow in the New Year                                                                    Any newcomers will be made very welcome. Just come to Walton Village Hall on Walton Back Lane for any meeting there.
