  • Friends of Villages Medical CentreIn February 2003 a group of 8 patients formed a committee to help raise money to ?kit out? the modern new Medical Centre built in Send Barns Lane, which would replace the two small old out-dated surgeries in Ripley and Send.Although Primary Health Care Trust paid for the building and essential fixtures and fitments, other equipment needed to be funded by the Practice. So hence the Friends of the Villages Medical Centre was formed to raise money to ensure that our Medical Centre has the best equipment to benefit all patients.To date we have raised over �10,000 and you will see on the following pages the items we have already purchased, you will also see a list of those items still needed from the initial list, so we need to raise at least a further �10,000.For the rest of this year and throughout next year we have a calendar of events, which we hope you will support and enjoy.We always welcome any volunteers and New ideas to help with the fund raising, so please do give Sarah Nockolds our Secretary a call on 01483 210096 if you have any time or skills that would assist us.
