  •  Welcome to the local branch of the Alzheimer's Society. Please contact us if you ; have dementia, or are a carer, and feel we can help have some spare time and are willing to help the branch simply wish to make a donationThe local support group aims to provide both emotional and social support to all people with Alzheimer's, their carers, and families. We endeavour to do this by providing up to date information and advice, and holding regular monthly meetings. There are guest speakers at some of the meetings, who will help carers with problems such as ;coping with aggressionliving with, and understanding repetitionissues of safety and securityhelp with financial matters and benefitsstress relief and respite caremedicationdietary requirementsWe also have talks from professionals involved with Alzheimer's, on all the latest research, and explaining what it means in practical everyday terms. You will also have the opportunity to meet and share your experiences and problems, possibly passing on some helpful ideas and tips to other people facing a similar situation.
