  • Ashcott Village Hall is a well equipped modern building, with its own car park, situated in the High Street next to the Church in the heart of the village. It is available for hire for all kinds of events from wedding receptions down to small meetings.Many clubs and societies use the hall for regular weekly or monthly meetings and activities. In addition, individuals or groups may book the hall for parties, dances, concerts, dinners, fund raising functions etc. The special floor is of sprung maple and ideal for dancing.The committee room may be booked seperately, for smaller meetings involving up to 20 people, or in addition to the main room when more space is needed.The large kitchen is available to all hirers and comes with crockery and cutlery for 100 place settings, two refrigerators, an eight burner/two oven gas cooker, an electric cooker, microwave and ample work surfaces with serving hatches to both the main hall and the committee room.A unique feature of the hall is the hydraulic stage which can be raised at a touch of a button.For drama productions there are stage extensions, full curtains and lighting.The balcony in the main hall can be used with the floor either level or tiered.There is good provision for the disabled, with level access and toilet facilities for wheelchair users and the installation of a hearing loop. A wheelchair is available for use in the hall.
