  • Welcome to the Haslemere PlayersThe Haslemere Players stage popular musicals at the Haslemere Hall, winning regular awards from the Southern Region of the National Operatic & Dramatic Association for their productions. Our two Musicals in 2001 will be My Fair Lady and Mack and Mabel. My Fair Lady is the show made famous by Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews based on Shaw's Pygmalion. The popular music includes favourites such as Get me to the Church on Time, I've Grown Accustomed to her Face, On the Street where you Live, I could have danced all night and many others. The Players will be presenting this popular musical from 27th to the 31st March at 7.30pm (Saturday matin�e at 2.30pm). Mack and Mabel is another exciting show, this time set in the Silent Film era based on the romance and lives of producer Mack Sennet and Mabel his comedy star. The music was made famous by Torvill and Dean when they won the World Ice-skating championships. The Players will be presenting this popular musical from 23rd to the 27th October at 7.30pm (Saturday matin�e at 2.30pm).The Old Time Music Hall this year will have a 'devolution' theme - allowing a combination of Songs, Sketches and Comedy featuring all that is best (and worst) in our English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh heritage. This traditional event complete with light supper, licensed bar and wenches will be from the 31st May to the 2nd June at 7pm for 7.30pm.If you would like further information about tickets please ring 01428 643334. The Hall, equipped with good stage lighting, orchestra pit and flying facilities, has seating for 350 and convenient car parking.Haslemere is a few miles off the A3 on the Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire borders and has a railway station half a mile away with fast trains to London and Portsmouth (45 mins).
