  • Action Against Burglary: “Beat the Rogues”

    Responding to widespread concerns that the recession might fuel a rise in the number of burglaries, the Home Office has funded Age Concern and Help the Aged to launch a campaign to help older people improve their home safety. In turn, organisations were invited to apply for funding to run roadshows.

    Winterton Improvement Network was successful in securing funding to hold 2 roadshows.

    The first event will take place at WintertonRangers, West Street, Winterton on Saturday 20th March 2010 between 12 noon and 4pm.

    The second event will take place at the Centenary Church, Smith Street, Scunthorpe on Friday 26th March 2010 between 12 noon and 3pm.


    Older people in the area are invited to come along to learn simple tips on how to beat the burglar and stay safe in their homes.

    Free refreshments will be available and distribution of goodie bags containing a variety of items including DIY discount vouchers. Return a feedback form and you could win a £50 M&S voucher!
