Further Description
  • Sandy Historical Research Group was formed in 2002, in order to archive and preserve as much of the social and economic history as possible, over the last 200 years or more. The group's long-term mission is to achieve a museum for Sandy, so that the massive archive that we have put together can be properly displayed for the benefit and education of the citizens of Sandy and visitors to the town.

We meet monthly, on the second Tuesday and the group holds a number of events and exhibitions through the year.

The group has a website at www.sandy-history.org.uk, which contains useful information about us and what we do. Membership is just £10 per year (concessions £7) and for that you get free entry to all our open meetings and exhibitions, We also publish a twice yearly Newletter, 'SHRUB', which is free to Members and contains articles about Sandy and its historical past.

For more information, please visit our website or send us an email.
