  • WARSASH LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY


    Please make a special note in your diaries of our ‘Archives Day” which will take place in St. Mary’s Church Hall on Saturday 8th May from 1030am to 4.00 pm. We are keen to welcome members of the public and longstanding residents of the village who have personal knowledge of its past to join us on this day to view the archives which the Society is building up and assist us in identifying locations and names of persons in some of the photographs and records we have inherited. This is not an exhibition but an exchange of information day when we hope to gain more knowledge of our past and make our records more complete. If you have any photographs or other material of local interest, please bring them along to give us the opportunity to scan them and return to you on the day.     The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 2nd of June at 7.30 pm in the Bartholomew Room of the Victory Hall when the speakers will be Dr Kathy Stearne & John Mitchell. His presentation is about the lower River Meon Water Meadows. We look forward to seeing you.
