  • We are a traditional Brass band started in 1891 as Barnton temperance band

    All are welcome for a blow and experienced cornet players are particularly welcome.

    We are available for local events, concerts etc.

    The band’s major objectives in the coming months are:

    1/ to move back into Barnton, our true home.

    2/ continue to increase the number of local engagements that we carry out
    and build links with other organisations in the immediate community.

    3/ support a local charity with a fund-raising set of Christmas engagements.
    This year we have nominated St. Luke’s Hospice.

    4/ to start a junior brass band, which would incur additional costs to ourselves
    at our current location.

    Ideally the band would like to come home to Barnton, where we belong, to allow the
    full celebration of our 120th Anniversary next year.
