Further Description
  • Manea Connect Committee was formed in February 2004 as the result of an open Parish Council Meeting. The attendees at the meeting were asked to volunteer to form a committee to encourage their fellow residents to take part in the regular events organised within the village and to inform them of any special occasions or events planned. We formed the Manea Connect Committee. We meet regularly.

    Our Mission Statement is:

    "To facilitate and promote activities in the village of Manea, helping to foster and further the community spirit."


    Our Aims and Objectives are:

    To give each and every resident of the village, irrespective of age, gender, race or disability, the opportunity to socially interact on both regular and ad hoc bases. To inform each and every resident of the village of the opportunities, which exist within the community, on a regular basis.

    We produce a comprehensive information sheet listing village amenities, clubs, societies, services etc on a quarterly basis. We distribute the information sheet to every household within the village as part of the Manea Matters newsletter. Spreading the word verbally at every opportunity and encouraging fellow residents to join in activities.

    Since the launch of the Manea Connect website, we have been able to list more information and events and make past Manea Matters Newsletter available to all.
