  • Learn to Glide at Shenington Gliding Club, The Friendly Gliding Club.

    If you have not thought of gliding before, try one of our trial lessons, or book yourself on an intensive course

    If you are already a glider pilot why not come on a skill booster course, from a full day to a week. You can do Basic Instructor work up or carry out cross-country training in our Falke with BGA approved instructors.

    Or just come along and fly with us for the pure fun of it.

    The club offers all year round facilities on a superb airfield sited in an ideal location just 8 miles NW of Banbury and virtually free of airspace restrictions.

    We offer full self catering facilities and a well stocked bar. If you want to spend a few days with us we have a camping/caravanning area or a basic bunk-house. We are also happy to recommend local B and B's.

    The club is situated on an ex wartime airfield which has been comprehensively developed to provide more open space for operating gliders.
