  • Baby signing is a fun way to learn to communicate with your baby before they can speak. It can also strengthen the child – parent/carer understanding and bond, reduce frustration, and boost self confidence and self esteem. In short – making for very happy parents/carers and very happy babies!
    TinyTalk classes are a lot of fun. Baby signing (0-2yrs)involves an hour long session - the first half hour is dedicated class time, learning themed signs and putting them into practice by singing/signing along to all those favourite nursery rhymes with props and puppets, actions and musical instruments. We also learn new songs to add to your repertoire! Each week is themed, with revision sessions every third week. Learn about mealtimes, family and animals/birds to name but a few!
    Then relax..... the second half of our hour long session is time for you and your little one to play with a selection of toys and for you to enjoy a coffee, chocolate biscuit and some time to chat.

    As well as offering baby signing classes, we also offer classes for toddlers (aged 2 years old – preschool). These classes offer the same great mix of signs, songs, props, books and instruments as our baby classes but are much more active! The classes encourage speech through participation, involve learning preschool skills and always include a game (be that with the parachute, talk ball or maybe even fruit and vegetable bingo!). What a fun way to learn!

    Cost: Each 1 hour session costs £4.50 and there are 12 classes per term (following the local school term). An advance payment of ten weeks (£45) is required to secure your place. This gives you two weeks to be absent (holidays/illness etc.) without penalty. If you can make all 12 weeks then we’d love it – simply pay for the last two classes on the day.

    Please note- the cost is per family NOT per child. So if you have twins, triplets or even more, it is the same cost.

    Tuesday 1.45pm – Camp Lane Children’s Centre, Kings Norton (Toddlers)
    Thursdays 9.30am – Alvechurch Sports and Social Club (Baby)
    Thursdays 1.45pm – Northfield Baptist Church (Baby)
    Fridays 11am – Albert Bradbeer Children’s Centre (Toddlers)*
    * subject to living within their catchment area
