  • I have lived in the village all my life and was born into a building family so i didnt have to choose a vocation even when i was at the secondery modern school carnforth i was eased into the trade in the summer holiday's. but i did enjoy the work. i have been in the trade for 37 yrs and love the work. i had a nervous break down some yrs ago and i am just going back into the work again now fully recovered.i built a house in bolten-le-sands on my own, my customer didnt want anybody elsehe wanted me to do the lot ,i did it all apart from the electrics but it did take me some time to do. but now i am just going to do repair work like, roof repairs  and kolourseal roof renovation,damp proofing, plastering,small joinery repairs and genral building work I have some photo's here the first one is the house i built on my own even though it come's under bungalow it is really a house because all of the roof space is up upstairs.the seconed one is a barn that i re-roofed, the third is a gazebo i restored loking over morecambe bay.
