Further Description
The Ferry Inn, Stokesby is a newly refurbished riverside pub. Under new management since February 2009, the pub has been transformed to provide bright and welcoming decor. Outside there are 30 picnic tables for those long hot summer days and nights and for the children there is a small activity area. The pub has a games room which includes dart board, pool table, fruit machine and quiz machine. During busy times there is a separate dining room, which is also available for private parties of approximately 40 people.Children and dogs are most welcome - dogs well-behaved and on a lead inside - children just well-behaved please!Traditional ales are frequently changed to provide different beers for the discerning beer drinker. Other beers inlcude Fosters, Carlsberg and Kronenburg, John Smiths, Guinness (including extra cold) and for the cider lovers, Aspalls Suffolk cider. There is a wide variety of wines available, either by the glass or bottle and all major spirits and liqueurs are on offer. The menu changes roughly every 6 months, however there is a specials board which is changed every month, reflecting seasonal and local dishes and ingredients. The food is traditional in the main, some of the best-sellers are fish and chips using fresh fish and our own Adnams beer batter with hand-cut chips or calves liver with creamy mash and rich gravy. Other dishes include crispy cantonese style beef and ever-changing Indian curries.
