  • Quiltessential is a specialist textile craft shop selling a wide range of quality cotton fabrics from leading manufacturers. In the shop we have over 1500 fabrics in many designs and colours. We also sell wadding/batting and cotton sateen. Our fabrics are mostly used for patchwork and quilting but they are also suitable for dressmaking and soft furnishing. We sell notions and equipment including: rulers, templates, rotary cutters, cutting mats, threads, buttons, ribbon and bag making accessories as well as books and magazines. We also run workshops in the shop for all skill levels.For a helpful and friendly service please visit our shop in Arkwright's original mill at Cromford.Opening times are: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat - 10.00 - 4.30 and Sunday 12.00 - 4.00. We are closed Wednesdays & Bank Holidays.
