Further Description
  • About jgallery:It is the intention of jgallery that it should become both a focal point and forum for patrons who would wish to see original work of the very best artists by offering the highest quality of drawing, painting, sculpture and installations. We are a free entry art gallery operating from a beautifully converted barn specifically designed for exhibitions. The gallery comprises of 1600 sq feet arranged over two floors, and it is situated in the rural village of Moulton Northamptonshire. Our annual programme of 4/6 major exhibitions includes nationally recognised and emerging artists. We also stage 2 community arts events including our "jgallery prize" for innovation in the contemporary arts.. We hold an biennial "Open" Exhibition. The next Open will be March 2010. Working closely with The University of Northampton, we have submitted a bid to be the designated exhibition gallery for the "Connect Programme 2009" which is a funded course for post graduate artists leading to a certificate in arts practice. We raise income from the sale of art work, arts related workshops and courses and with public and business funding/sponsorship.You can support us by going to Donate button. We also hire the gallery for private and public events. These activities will generate additional funds for the support of our programme of innovative and challenging exhibitions to include works of art on loan from National and International galleries and museumThe new tea and coffee shop is now open, from which we operate a BOOK SWAP SCHEME - Bring a book and take a book for £1 donation to the gallery. Nice and simple so come and relax and browse through our art books.
