  • This 17th Century coaching inn has a wealth of charm and character, enhanced by original features including beamed ceilings, stone floors and exposed walls plus three open fires and traditional furniture.  The public bar has Sky TV, video jukebox and gaming machines, while the comfortable lounge bar, snug and restaurant offers a relaxed and informal atmosphere.We have 4 real ales that are Camra recommended. Guests can dine in any of the two bars, or in our restaurant. We have an extensive choice of traditional dishes and a daily specials board.  The Restaurant can be booked for private functions - weddings, christenings, parties and meetings The six modern well-equipped bedrooms, all ensuite are located on the first floor.  All which have tea and coffee making facilities. Two of the room have a linking door to make a family suite. Weekend breaks are also available. The Swan is situated at the top of the town and stands next to the Town Hall, close to the "chippings" free public car park. Wotton under Edge is an interesting market town which has plenty of attractions. Tolsey House with its well known Victoria Jubilee clock, The Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin, There are three groups of Almshouses, a Tudor cottage and the 13c Ram Inn, the oldest property in town. There is also a cinema and a covered open air pool. Near by there are a variety of leisure activities from country strolls to places such as the, Newark Park (National Trust) and Ozleworth Park or playing golf, 3 courses within easy reach with 9 and 18 holes.
