Further Description
  • We are an Ofted Registered Playgroup ran by a committee of parents.  We are very popular and are continually developing as a fantastic setting for young children to grow and develop in.Recently we've had built an accessable outdoor area where children can build things, plant, use bikes and tricycles, explore tactile and sensory skills and splash in the puddles when it is raining.  The outdoor area has a wooden house, a chalk wall, a sun canopy, grassy area and a path.We are currently developing our playgroup website which will contain monthly newsletters, articles about what our children have been doing, a Gallery to show pictures of them and their play, you can download both our Welcome pack and application form.  We have been given an Information, Communication and Technology grant and from this we have a computer that the children can use if they wish, child proof cameras, robots plus many more.We have strong links within the village community where we take part in the annual "Field Day" and were given a donation from the "Twinning Association" where visitor from "Bussieres" presented us with a small gift.  As part of our strong links with the village community we also have strong links with the village school.  The school often invite us to come and watch, or take part in, special assemblies throughout the year and on alternate Wednesdays we visit the reception class and have fun taking part in the activities they do.The staff at Nether Kellet Playgroup have built a caring and nutring bond with the children in their care.
