  • Westcroft Design has been established since 2001.  My passion for design dates back to my childhood when my father, a design engineer introduced me to a `cam shaft`. Pure delight!   How things work, and the practical, problem solving, aspect of design has been with me ever since. My projects have been very varied from Castles, and Hunting Lodges, to the smallest room in the house!   I have recently been developing the lighting side of my business, as light is so important for health, leisure, work and just to enjoy the many and varied options available in both the fittings and forms of light.I am hopeful that others will share my enjoyment of the subject and will be interested enough to let me show them what is possible and achievable.Furniture of all varieties from sideboards to sofas is also something I am particularly interested in.  We tend to buy something in the hope that it will, do the job, fit the space and look good at the same time.  Often we dont get everything that we want.  We design furniture to fit the purpose and the space.  It is all made in this country, which makes it repairable in the future and will stand the test of time.  Standard pieces are also available and you have a vast choice of fabrics for upholstery and woods for cabinets etc.We have many business contacts to make curtains and other upholstery items.  We can source paintings and home accessories.  We deal with the trades needed to build and repair property.  In fact we deal with anything to do with buildings, both residential and commercial.I hope that wets your appetite for more information.  If so, please email, or ring me.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Alison Wright
