Further Description
  • BARN COTTAGE BED and BREAKFAST Barn Cottage Bed and Breakfast really is off the beaten track in the tiny rural hamlet of Woolminstone, just a couple of miles south of Crewkerne in deepest South Somerset.  We offer two luxurious and extremely comfortable en-suite double / twin rooms with thoughtful attention to details. Both rooms look south over lovely gardens and rolling farm land. In the dining room, we offer you a hearty, well cooked breakfast, using local and mostly organic ingredients. A wide range of "alternative" breakfasts is also happily offered. Have you a favourite? We will cook it for you!  Barn Cottage is set centrally in a tranquil “hidden area” of South Somerset, surrounded by hills, country lanes and organic farms and with fabulous views out over Dorset’s highest hills and is really enviably positioned for generally exploring, walking and biking. For the longer distance walker we can easily arrange a  “pick up / drop off” service along the local long distance walks. Golf, Riding, Swimming and other sporting opportunities are very close by.  The “Jurassic Coastline” at Lyme Regis and Bridport / West Bay, is within a half hour drive as are numerous National Trust Properties and Gardens, beautiful small “Golden Stone” villages (and pubs!), pretty thriving market towns.  Light suppers and packed lunches (and folding chairs and freezer boxes) are available on request.  Business guests are really very welcome. And should the weather turn nasty, washing / drying facilities are readily available!
