  •  Ian and Abi welcome you to The Fox Inn, AnstyA Hidden Gem buried deep with in the beautiful countryside of Dorset Located in the village of Ansty , buried deep in the beautiful Dorset  countryside, The Fox Inn is steeped in history and is famous for its food and accommodation.  The Fox was built over 250 years ago as the home of Charles Hall who went on in 1777 to found the Ansty Brewery.  This was at the same time that the troops were assembling on the Dorsetshire Coastline anticipating a French invasion during the     Napoleonic wars.  The Brewery secured a contract to supply ale to the troops and quickly grew.   In 1915 the original Fox Inn was destroyed by fire and the Woodhouse family made the decision to       relocate the Ansty Pub to the family home.  In the last 90 years the pub has become one of Dorset’s most famous hostelries.  Ian, Abi and family took over the Fox Inn in March 2008 and our aim is to continue to provide the very best welcome with home cooked food, fine ales and comfortable accommodation.
