  • The Mortimer Medical Practice is a rural dispensing practice. Dr Robert Williams started the practice over a hundred years ago at the Croase House, Kingsland. Since then we have expanded to five partners and three assistants, looking after around 7500 patients. The main surgery, Croase Orchard Surgery at Kingsland, was completed in 1989.  The impressive purpose-built surgery contains five consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and a dispensary.  A new annexe for the District Nurses and Health Visitors was completed in 2000. Five miles away in Millbrook Way at Orleton, is the Orleton branch surgery. This was converted from a bungalow in 1982 and has been recently upgraded. It contains one consulting room, a treatment room and a dispensary. Nine miles north of Kingsland is the Leintwardine branch surgery. Leintwardine Surgery merged with the Kingsland and Orleton Surgery in 2001 to form the Mortimer Medical Practice.  It also has one consulting room, a treatment room and a dispensary.  A new surgery for Leintwardine should be completed by 2010. All three surgeries are accessible by wheelchair and are computer linked which aids transfer of information.
