I have discovered while researching my Bond family from York to Australia and other parts that I have cousins in the Newmarket area. Eddie Bond (son of Joe Bond deceased) and daughters Nicola, Lisa and Emma.All this info was found on the internet. Does anyone know of their whereabouts and a possible contact for at least one of them. I don't imagine that they know they have many cousins in New South Wales Australia from three Bond males who settled here from 1886 to the early 1900's. My grandfather was Joe Bond's uncle.

I am trying to find out about my Grandmother's family. I believe she Margaret Parsons born 1900 and brothers Francis and Herbert may have been sent to live on a farm in the Newmarket area after their mothers death in 1911. Her oldest son Jimmy remembers visiting a farm with her between 1922 and 1928. Any ideas?

Living abroad for the past 40 years~I decided a couple of years ago to try to do our Cooper family tree thinking easy as pie~we are all from Newmarket.....ahem!My tree so far starts with(Soham) John Cooper1720 - 1.wife~ Mary Staples1720 -2.wife~ Sarah Hart1726~Their son(Soham) Robert Cooper 1757-wife~ Ann Lisle 1762~ their son(Soham) John Cooper 1792-wife~ Ann Clarke 1793(Fordham)after that they head off to Isleham and have about 17 children which leads to a terrible confusion with the other Cooper line who were living there at the time.By the way they were all plumbers and glaziers~painters and decorators so were useful members of the community. If any body has any thing to add I would be pleased to hear from them.Julie

My maiden name was Tolworthy~ and my father Edward~ born 1906 in Rossendale Lancashire~ his father was Henry~ and was born in Freckenham and came to Rossendale when he was 7 years old. A number of my family trees start or reside for some time in Fordham. I would be intested in hearing from any of the descendants of the following family names. How~Cooper~Sindall~Holmes~Ware~**The How family seemed to have an interest in all the Mills in Fordham during the later end of the 1800s and early 1900s. The Ware family had the Kings Head Pub in Carter Street in 1841~ does anyone know where that was?

  His name was Harry James Holmes (known as mick) and comes from Newmarket in Suffolk. I believe he was born around 1891 and lived with but not married to Eva Adams.
