I am looking for any Howletts from around the Suffollk area.**So far I have found James Howlett (circa 1811) who was married to I think Anna Maria Mayes (b circa 1815 in Stoven~ Suffolk. m Oct 1833) and their children James (1836~ Uggeshall)~ William (1838~ Uggeshall)~ Harriet (1840~ Uggeshall)~ George (1844~ Westhall)~ Robert (1846~ Westhall) and Elijah (1849~ Westhall). **I have a few marriages and children for these kids which I can provide if anyone is interested.**Please contact me if you know anything.

I am looking for connections to an Innkeeper/Publican of the village of Wangford Suffolk UK in the early 1800s the Pub name would be a great help. His name was either Lancaster or Hawkins two different surnames used throughout his life.His wifes single name being Elizabeth Lingwood from a nearby village of Chediston. The family kept various Inns/Pubs in the country London area to the county of Norfolk.

I am just starting to trace my english family roots. A "Francis Francis" was born in North Cove~ Suffolk Co. England. He married Mary Peck. She was born in North Cove also. They had a son named John~ who married Elizabeth Sapy~ daughter of William Sapy and Susannah Youel. She was born in Shipmeadow~ Suffolk Co. A daughter of their's~ a Mary Francis born 1805 married to Phillip Simmons~ born 11799 in Broome~ Suffolk Co.~ England moved to Tryon~ Prince Edward Island Canada. My great grandfather was John Summerfield Francis born 11 August 1848~ died 15 May 1929 in Bay Fortune~ Prince Edward Island~ Canada. My grandfather was Arthur Earle Francis born 20 April 1888~ died 07 June 1977.He married Amy Blanche Simmons. My name is Brian Francis~ any relatives out there. Very curious. Thanks.

My great grandfather Archibald Winsor was born in Kessingland in the Mutford district in 1888. His father was William James Winsor and he was a navy man and they lived at the coast guard station. The other children were Frances~ Violet~ William~ Edward~ Jethro~ Samuel and of course my grandfather~ ARchibald. Any one know somebody who might remember the family perhaps through their own ancestors?

Our family lived in Dunwich from the 1750's - 1960's. We recently came across a family of Dixes living in Uggeshall with children born between 1789 and 1800. Parents were Michael and Elizabeth (nee Freeman). Does anyone know if they were connected to the Dunwich family~ please? Is there any connection between Dunwich and Uggeshall? I am researching my Benns family line. William Benns was a blacksmith who married Susan Lyon in 1816 at Wangford. He had a few children in Wangford and then emigrated to Toronto~ Canada.****Is there anyone who is knowledgeable about Wangford town history in the 1800 - 1840 timeframe?
